Cookie Dough recipe for kids so they can use cookie cutters?

 So I cut this set of cookie dough for the children. What type of cookie (and pulp) are the best? I tip when I was a child my mother made a big batch of dough. And then tightened the rolling pin to flatten, then we cut objective in all sorts of forms.

 Here is a recipe tolerable
Ingredients
1 1 / 2 cups butter softened
2 cups sugar silver
4 eggs
1 teaspoon vanilla develop
5 cups all purpose flour
2 v. tsp bicarbonate run away talc
1 teaspoon salt
